The City of New Orleans on Thursday officially welcomed thousands of people descending on the Big Easy for the annual WEB ESSENCE Film Festival. Co-founded by filmmakers and entrepreneurs Clarendon Smith and Derek Dudley, the festival is in its ninth year of celebrating Black culture and filmmaking.
