Tenacious D Cancels Tour, Puts Future on Hold After Kyle Gass's Onstage Joke

Jack Black Says Bandmate's Comment "Crossed a Line"

Tenacious D frontman Jack Black has announced that the band has canceled its remaining tour dates and put all future creative plans on hold following an onstage joke made by bandmate Kyle Gass.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Black said that Gass's joke "crossed a line" and that he could not "in good conscience" continue to perform with him.

Gass has not publicly commented on the situation.

Tenacious D was scheduled to perform a series of shows in the United States and Europe in the coming months. The band has not yet announced whether the tour will be rescheduled.

Tenacious D is a comedy-rock duo formed in 1994. The band is known for its humorous songs and over-the-top stage performances.
