Tenacious D Cancels Tour Amid Controversy

Band's Future Plans Uncertain

Tenacious D, the comedy rock duo made up of Jack Black and Kyle Gass, has canceled the rest of their summer tour and put the band's future creative plans on hold following a comment made by Gass at a recent concert in Australia.

When asked to make a birthday wish at the concert, Gass said, "I wish that all the gay people in the audience would die." The comment was met with immediate backlash from the audience, and the band was forced to stop the show.

In a statement released after the incident, Black apologized for Gass's comment, saying that it was "completely unacceptable and does not reflect the values of the band." Black also said that he and Gass were taking a break from the band to "reflect on what happened and to figure out how to move forward."

It is unclear what the future holds for Tenacious D. The band has been together for over 20 years and has released six studio albums. They have also starred in a movie and several television shows.
